Chaos! Some people thrive on Chaos. They like the unknown. They enjoy not knowing what is next. They have no problem with things scattered about. I dare say that some people even have to have it that way. If things are too orderly they don’t feel quite right. Well, I am not one of those people. Chaos drives me insane. I like order. I like schedules. I don’t mix it up too often. Therefore, moving or partially moving is upsetting to my system. Right now I am living in Chaos. Boxes everywhere. Half my clothes being packed to go across the country. The other half staying back BUT my entire bedroom suit is going to the new place. What does this mean? I am trying to cram clothes into the closet, ugh. It is not that it is hard to to do, it is just hard for someone who likes things orderly. My world is turning upside down and with no order in it I find it hard to navigate. I try to organize the boxes. I try to organize the closet. I try to organize anything I can just to feel some order only to turn around and see more CHAOS. Oh, it makes my head and stomach hurt. Yes, I know it will be orderly again. Yes, I know this is all a good thing and what I wanted but it still is hard to GO THROUGH the CHAOS to get back to the ORDER!!
Okay, now that you know that I am feeling completely out of sorts I would love to pass onto you a great book to read! Between Two Worlds by Zainab Salbi and Laurie Becklund. Oh, this is book is quite moving. It is Zainab Salbi’s personal story. It is her life in Iraq under Saddam Hussein’s dictatorship and her family personal involvement with Hussein. Zainab’s father was Saddam’s pilot.
Here is a brief description from the book. I highly recommend this book!!!
“Zainab Salbi was eleven years old when her father was chosen to be Saddam Hussein’s personal pilot and her family’s life was grafted onto his. Her mother, the beautiful Alia, taught her daughter the skills she needed to survive. A plastic smile. Saying yes. Burying in boxes in her mind the horrors she glimpsed around her. ‘Learn to erase your memories,’ she instructed. ‘He can read your eyes.’
In this richly visual, highly anticipated memoir, a global leader in the fight on behalf of women victims of war reveals ties to a dictator that fear had kept sealed up inside her for years. She describes tyranny as she saw it-through the eyes of a privileged child, rebellious teenager, a violated wife, and ultimately a public figure fighting to overcome the skill that once kept her alive: silence.”
I was not given anything for this review. I grabbed this book at a discount store one day because it sounded interesting to me! I ended up loving the book and just thought I would pass my thoughts on to others!!

Change is a necessary evil in getting back to the goodness of life, correctamundo? Good luck!
I have about 15 boxes packed so far. It’s all pretty intimidating to get it ready!
Yeah, I cannot stand chaos either. And moving? Well moving will just about drive me to complete insanity. Thanks for the book suggestion too!

I like order and schedules too. Seems like better energy flows in a place that isn’t in total disarray.
Thanks for the book rec. I’ll check it out.
