Alright by now if you have dropped in on this blog enough you have grown accustomed to my television viewing habits BUT if you are popping in for the first time let me warn you that I have a BAD television habit. Yep, I have been a couch potato my entire life. Well, since I can remember. I loved coming home from school and watching reruns of The Brady Bunch. Are they on TV Land anymore?
Anyway, my point, I could go through my entire life and relate it to a television show. Probably not a good thing but such is life. I loved The Love Boat on Saturday Nights!
Oh, and I was hooked on Dallas
and yes, the entire Who Shot JR plot line! Oh, and I loved the DREAM plot too,so Bobby could come back or was it so Pam could come back? Well, I was just happy they fixed it at got the actor back! Oh, Guess, what? DALLAS is coming back on TNT this summer, so excited!! Now, that I have lost you young ones let me say I enjoyed Friends,
and to bring us up to date I like Grey’s Anatomy , Big Bang Theory and I love Criminal Minds!! I truly enjoy television!!Unfortunately, I could go on and on and be linking all day LOL!
For a while I was HOOKED big time on REALITY TELEVISION, especially Bravotv. Even more, THE REAL HOUSEWIVES but overtime I have found I have lost that ‘Reality feeling.’ It must have been a phase. I think we all have television phases. You know, comedy phases, drama phases, the cop phases, the Primetime soap phases. For instance, when ‘Dallas’ was huge there were a bunch of other Primetime soaps. You had Knots Landing, Falcon Crest and Dynasty to name a few. Of course, those were the ones that made it. You always have duds too! My point, I think television goes through phases and many AMERICANS seem to be in a REALITY PHASE. Although, I am starting to check out of that phase. The Reality shows are becoming way more scripted and to ‘over the top’ but with that being said I still pop in here and there. I know longer DVR any reality shows or watch them as a first viewing but if nothing is catching my eye I might peek at an episode here or there. I just find I am enjoying scripted television more!
But, I want to share this story with you guys about Reality television and Bloggers!
There are many bloggers that love to blog about the Reality Shows. I think it is because the thing that draws us to the Reality shows are we feel we have the right to judge them (the reality stars) because they put themselves on television and we like to judge people, kind of like people watching. Reality television is all about viewing their lives and judging what we view! Anyway, recently a blogger was getting blasted by one of the Mob Wives. VH1 has created MOB WIVES to rival The Real Housewives and kind of be a The Sopranos type of thing but wrap your mind around it for a moment? Supposedly this is REALITY? They are MOB WIVES? Something is wrong with that all together, right? Oh well, The Mob wife was having a tizzy about the bloggers post and saying the blogger caused her child pain. I read the post and the blogger never mentioned the child. She did talk about the Mob Wife’s parenting but never stated the child’s name. The Mob Wife has the child on the show so people could easily find the child on the internet especially because the mother allows the child to partake in social media outlets. Therefore, the child was taking some grief, or so the Mob mother claims. I don’t follow the show, the mother or the child so who knows BUT if I was a blogger there is no way on GOD’S GREEN EARTH I would write about a Mob wife let alone her parenting. I mean think about the connections the woman has? Yikes!! LOL
So,Do you watch more Scripted television or Reality Television? What is your favorite show? Do you have a favorite scripted show and do you have a favorite reality show? Oh, and do watch shows on your computer or your television? I would love to know, c’mon I spilled my guts!!!

The Love Boat! Oh man, I lived to watch that show on Saturday nights when I was little! And the Brady Bunch! I never did get int Friends, though.
I am currently addicted to Mob Wives. ADDICTED.
My favorite TV shows of all time are:
Seinfeld, Scrubs, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Arrested Development, and Modern Family.
I don’t necessarily go through phases in the “types” of shows; but I typically immerse myself in one show and watch it from the first episode through one after the other…drives my husband crazy. So, we have collections of DVD television series and I will just pop them in the player and watch from season 1 episode 1 all the way through to the last one. I just recently finished friends and am currently watching MASH and will probably do CSI next.
When I’m not watching DVDs, I can totally sit and watch a “marathon”…for some reason I love the one with Tabitha right now. I also have a sick obsession with the Toddlers and Tierras. I think that one is one of those shows that’s like an accident: you just can’t NOT look! Working with kids, I am always flaberghasted by what they are doing.
I haven’t had television for over 10 years so the only television I watch is because friends make me watch with them. Recent shows I’ve watched: Archer, Homeland, Game of Thrones, Modern Family, Bob’s Burgers, uh…and, I’ll admit it, Suburgatory. Other than that, I got nothin’.
TV – I have never seen a reality show…unless Cake Boss counts. I love watching the cooking network…the chopping blending etc…even though I hate to cook. I usually watch it with the girls – hoping some of it will sink in….
Modern Family is a MUST see most weeks…but I missed it tonight – and will miss for the next 6 weeks due to a volunteer activity.
I guess I live my life and let TV fill in the blanks…I can have the TV on for hours…and not even watch it…more background noise.
Loved your blog – remember all of the soaps that I watched in high school and college. I almost couldn’t plan my wedding due to the fact that I had to be home to watching GUIDING LIGHT…those were the days.
