Every night I have to take my doggie out for his last ‘potty outing’. It can be annoying. Typically, I am tired. I have to wait until 11:00pm, sometimes I can get away with 10:30pm but the later the better. Blackie (my doggie) has a small bladder ( I guess) because the little guy gets three walks a day and then a short little walk right before bed, so I guess 4 walks all together but the other 3 walks are long walks. He must go poopy on the other 3 walks or well, you know what will happen LOL. Anyway, as much as he is a pain in the you know what, he does keep me in shape!
Anyway, the nighty walk (I have no idea why I talk baby talk with my dog, I didn’t even do that with my kids?) is the irritating one. It is late, especially when Blackie has you up at the crack of dawn walking and feeding him. My mom often jokes that he is worse than a child. In addition, I typically am half asleep on the nighty walk but after a short walk, well, I am awake again, so Blackie gets emptied and he happily gets back in the house, buries himself under a blanket and starts snoring. Oh, yes, my doggie buries himself under blankets AND snores. HE IS SPOILED!!
As far as, Me, well, it takes me a little longer to fall asleep. The short walk gets my juices flowing again, ugh! So, I am usually up another hour or so and then the stinker has me up, well, at the crack of dawn WALKING and that one is a long walk. Oh, well, I do get to see the sun come up and it is beautiful.
Well, last night, I experienced fright and then awe!
I took the little dickens out for his ‘nighty walk’ and as we traisped out of the house I saw a plane falling out of the sky. It scared the shit out of me!
AND then I realized it was a shooting star.
It was beautiful!!!
BUT see, I am a City girl, and I truly thought a plane was crashing!
Until I realized I was looking into a crisp sky full of beautiful stars!!
The sky was dark but clear!!
There were stars shining everywhere!
You could see the moon!
AND NOTHING ELSE!
No city lights to ruin the view!
No clouds either!
It was a beautiful night!
I was glad to view it!
Yep,
I was so glad I got to see it,
Even though I was up until after Midnight
The stars were well worth it!!!
AND A SHOOTING STAR,
WOW!!
Ever experience an unexpected Awe moment?

Oh how cool…I would love to see a real shooting star. Im not sure if I did before or I’m just imagining that I did.
Happy Favorite Things Thursday.
We were out after dark last night for the final pee, and both the dog and I got a fright! A HUGE THING was right there in front of us in the grass. It began moving around in a haphazard pattern. Nelson began barking and straining on the leash and I did a gaspy thing and froze. Turned out to be some kind of large bird…a walking, not flying bird. Weird. No sign of him this morning. We still have tonight’s run to face. Hoping for no more surprises in the dark.

Oh wow. I probably would have thought the shooting star was a plane crashing too. You’re sooo lucky you got to experience that!
Shooting star – how cool! I have noticed the stars lately too – although too cold to be outside!
Did you make a wish? scratch blackie behind the ears for me . Thank you for linking to the Thursday Favorite Things blog hop at Katherines Corner. Hugs and smooches and wishes for a wonderful weekend
