A 2PAC Moment

by lucy on June 28, 2012

This popped up on my Facebook Newsfeed!

I don’t know about you but I have been known to get caught up doing just that!  Moving on can be so hard, whether it is me forgiving someone else or ME, FORGIVING ME, you know, wishing I wouldn’t have done something and if I just would have NOT done it or if I had the guts to do this to fix it or …..

Anyway, I liked what Tupac had to say!

But, even more, I wanted to know who Tupac was?  I was clueless. Here is a little bit of what I found out!

First Tupac is the first name?  Go figure?  Usually you use the last name in a quote.  Plus, I kept saying, 2Pack, it is 2pock.  Oh, and the young gentleman is dead.  He died young.  He is best known as a rapper/hip-hop artist BUT overall he was an ARTIST!  A prolific artist.  The young Gentleman lived an interesting life, to say the least.  Both his parents were in the Black Panther Party.  Tupac Amur Shakur (his full name) went to the Baltimore School of Arts, he dropped out at the age of 17.  He served time in prison where he read the works of Niccolo Machiavelli and created one of his biggest Album hits.   Of course, I read more and more about him and Ice-T talks about him and their friendship all on the 2PAC official website!

It is funny where we find our inspiration?  I mean that little saying has really rolled around in my mind and heart, about forgiveness! Forgiveness for ourselves and others AND the importance of eventually moving on!  I guess, I wouldn’t think it would come from a rapper/hip-hop artist, would you?

Hey, Do you ever check out the people who come up with those touching or moving sayings you see on your Facebook timelines?

And, I am looking for inspiration, How do you move on from your mistakes?

it’s true i think we sometimes get caught up in trying to make the pieces fit or make sense when in reality they aren’t suppose to. we think everything belongs in a box neatly wrapped and that isn’t always the case so just be messy and live.

Glad you found Pac! He was actual a pretty good poet and has so many quotes that I loved when he was alive and still use today to help me stay motivated or move on from bad things in my life.

I am my own worst enemy and I take my mistakes very hard… But if I figure out how I could have avoided them in the first place, I feel better knowing that hopefully I wont do it again.
