There I am in my favorite place reading “The Help”by Kathryn Stockett! Loved the book! You need to put this on your reading list!
Another favorite reading spot! My back porch in Sedona, AZ! Here I am reading, Katherine by Anya Seton. You need to enjoy Historical Romance to love this one!
Oh, and it is NOT unusual to find me wrapped up in my pink robe with comfy slippers engrossed in a book! Here I am reading my Jane Austen book that has her seven novels!
Reading, it is not hard to get a photo of me engaging in the act! What is hard? For me to recommend a book! I read a ton. I don’t really review and unless you tell me what you are looking for, well, it is hard. I do have a few I love. I named two above!
I would suggest Painted House by John Grisham. It is NOT, I repeat NOT a lawyer book. AND, it is perfect to read in the SUMMER!
Another great SUMMER read, Summer at Tiffany by Marjorie Hart!
Both books take you back in time. Old time summers. One in the south and one in THE CITY, New York City!
Last, I read Danielle Steel for a little romance and Mary Higgins Clark for a little Murder Mystery. Both authors are very light reads. Something fun, light and easy. I do like that Danielle Steel keeps her women characters strong! Oh, and Mary Higgins Clark novels are like a “Murder She Wrote” episode, NOT too bloody for me!!
Now, I have to thank Becca, from Everyday Life, for passing on the Booker Award to me! Somehow??? She has figured out I enjoy my reading time
One last book I would like to suggest, a great one for bloggers! I loved this book “Sticky Readers: How to Attract a Loyal Blog Audience by Writing More Better” by Margaret Andrews.
Instead of passing this award on I am asking you to leave a book suggestion in the comment section!

The gazebo looks pretty! I liked The Help, too. Did you see the movie?
I used to read a lot more than I do now. I read The Help and really enjoyed it. Definitely a recommended read. The last book I read is one I’d recommend: The Imperfectionalists. It’s about the staff for a failing Roman newspaper. Each chapter follows someone different. Yet, the characters are intertwined in each other’s lives. A good read.
Did you end up liking Katherine? I can’t tell from this
.
I wanted to see the Help, but I guess I should read it too. I’m so bad about reading. Havent read a whole book since What to Expect When You’re Expecting. Oi. So your husband follows you with a camera taking pics of you reading, or is that request
. Love the one of you with a robe. Was that blogging book funny or practical? I loved Nickled and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich (love sociology). And I actually like Michael Crichton a lot. Don’t judge.
My bloggy friend Gail (At the Farm) recommended I try some Harlan Corbin because I like crime thrillers. So I started on the Myron Bolitar series—I flew through the first three and have ordered 4-7…not sure how many there are in the series, but I won’t be missing a single one! I LOVE the main character- Myron Bolitar- he’s got wit and charm and sarcasm and he’s always got a murder or crime of some sort to solve even though he’s a sports agent–WHAT???? YES!!! There’s even sports involved! AND- they’re easy reads! OMG- I am in LOVE. LOL
