Taste of Chicago Festival seems to becoming a Tradition for the Family! Good thing. We love food!!! And, we enjoy Festivals!!!
It was a hot day but that didn’t stop us from hitting the food stands!
I am sure their Hot dogs are delicious but we went with….
these awesome fries! These French fries were light and tasty. Not heavy and oily. They had a little zing with their flavor. The fries were embellished with carrots, celery and jalapenos. DELICIOUS!!! We chowed them. CHOWED THEM!!!
My daughter MUST, I do mean MUST have pizza at a Food Festival. She found it!!!
Of course we had to rest our bellies we took a little break from eating and walking!
It is so hard to get family photos! We have to take turns with groups of us 
After the rest and photo session it was on to more food!! My daughter is MY DAUGHTER!!
Why is corn on the cob so much better at a Festival?
What a day of eating! There was ribs,pork rib sandwich,pot stickers. Oh, my gosh The Pot Stickers, MELTED, JUST MELTED in your mouth. Not rubbery or overcooked at all. AT A FESTIVAL? Imagine that? They MELTED in your mouth. Watermelon. Yummy, pink,fresh, sweet,watery,did I say FRESH? Yep, perfect Watermelon and huge. It is suppose to be a small taste and it was a nice HUGE piece of Watermelon!!
Of course we needed to rest our bellies again but this guy, he was smarter than us. He didn’t rest his belly. Nope!
See The young lady? She was giving an aerobics demonstration!! Or, maybe it was a little Zumba or some fun mix of dance and exercise. I couldn’t hear, I just watched from afar! Everyone was sitting and WATCHING and then….
Of course once ONE person pops up a few others joined the fun! He was the daring one. The trailblazer!!
After the show it was time for dessert!! Oh, and the Festival did offer free music, we missed it.
By the time we got over to the stage they were in between sets! So,We decided to wrap up The Taste by Grabbing dessert and then heading on out!!!
Not ICE CREAM, I swear. Nope, it was Chocolate covered cheesecake. And it was To Die For!!!
The looks of over eating!!
But, we still enjoyed a few sites on our slow walk back…..
Chess playing….
And Music!! Some fun street music….
A band in the Park rounded out our day!!!

So, so, so much fun! Last time I was at the Taste, I got corn on the cob too. YUMMY! I’m glad you made the most of it and got lots of food samples!
Awww, such a happy family. Love the photos of you. You should ask a stranger to take a photo of your whole family – that way, there’s no need to rotate who takes them! I’m not a huge fan of the Taste, mostly because it’s hot, sweaty and too many suburbanites/tourists – ha! But, I do enjoy going to street festivals, trying out the local fare and listening to some music!

I would love love love to go to a food festival.
So forgive me but I have to ask because I don’t know. Do you have to purchase the food? or it’s all free to eat?
