I really like “Everybody Talks” and I figured it would fit everyone’s fall/Halloween mood that I am not even close to thinking about, sorry, this girl is still savoring summer
Listen, I turn around and go,”Wow,it is MONDAY!! How did that happen?” You all know the saying “Time flies!” Although, in my humble opinion, and hopefully, without ticking too many people off, I must tell you I think we (me included) sorta of,kinda of help time fly. I mean, we rush into the next season before it even really gets here. People have pumpkins and their fall decorations out and it is technically summer? Just sayin. We kinda, sorta skip Thanksgiving and sail right into Christmas. Then, I think out of sheer boredom we talk about Valentines Day for ever and it is JUST one day. While we are knee deep in winter we wish and moan for spring and so on. And yet, we post all kinds of things on our blogs,Twitter and Facebook about ‘living in the moment’, ‘enjoying the journey’, ‘savoring the day’. It makes me giggle!!!
Oh, well, at least on MONDAY I enjoy MUSIC!!! Truly and really. I listen to my fellow bloggers choices. It has been amazing the ‘new’ music I have been introduced to. I put new in quotes because some music is old and yet this lady has never heard it before! This blog hop has been a journey,a wonderful, musical journey and IT IS TIME consuming listening to all the music but it is well worth it BECAUSE along the way I have met some delightful bloggers along with enjoying the music
I enjoy experiencing everyone’s choices. Old, new, country, jazz, blues, rock and roll, and spiritual. Ah, yes, MONDAY, I take a lot of moments to listen to other peoples choices and I savor the day.
This week the random org thingy landed on me. Which means I am the spotlight dancer!
I was gonna post “Good Time” Owl City/Carly Rae Jepsen but I really, really, really LIKE this song…….
I highly recommend joining the Music fun on Monday!
These bloggers host this fun Musical hop: Marie from Xmas Dolly is head conductor! To make sure things run smoothly, she has enlisted a few co-conductors: Callie of JAmericanSpice, Stacy of Stacy Uncorked , and Cathy of Cathy Kennedy’s Blog!

Are you enjoying your life journey?

Congratulations, my bloggy friend for being in the spotlight again. Your freebie picks really started my week off toe tapping and a little bootie shaking. Life is too short and I so agree with do rush our seasons – unconscienciously, but am I enjoying life’s journey??? I’d say for the most part, yes! That being said, I need to make myself slow it down so I can totally savor life’s journey to its fulliest. There is nothing that pressing in each day which should make me want to hurry through it, right? Right! Thanks for the reminder. We all need to stop and smell the roses while they are in bloom because soon they’ll fade away and then we’ll wish that we had done it. Have a hip hop week!
That was an interesting tune from a band I had never heard of. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the spotlight! Hope you are off to a fantastic week – even if it does move too quickly…
Hey girl, is that you I see shaking your booty? Congrats on the Spotlight. Random.org does like you. Well two new songs for me and got me rocking I think I like Everybody talks better. I know Monday did come quickly and it seems like time is flying. I got to hit the give-aways for Christmas or all my nine grandbabies are not going to be happy with their NaNee this year. LOL Ahhhhhhhhh What we go through! ROCK ON MY FRIEND!!! Love your originality on the theme suggestion too! It’s now in my side-bar.
Congratulations on being in the Spotlight! I do enjoy rockin’ with everyone on Monday, too. Makes the beginning of the week seem special.
love your song choices the Neon tree song is really good and i am so amazed at how quickly time has passed and I really try to enjoy the moments but dang it the stores just seem to rush every holiday lately.
Come Say HI
Oh wow! The first song was new to me, but I LOVE it! The second song I was familiar with – but I keep thinking, as I’m sitting here happily listening to it, that it’s a different version that what I’ve heard – different band maybe? Or maybe a different mix – but I love it, too!
I’m now going to have to do some hunting…heh! I am SO going to be downloading both as soon as I get done here.
I really look forward to Monday’s now that I get to lose myself in awesome music – and discover ‘new’ music because of bloggy friends like you.
And I’m right there with you on time – and seasons – flying by way too fast. Fall is my favorite season/time of year, but I refuse to put out my fall decorations until the first weekend of October.
CONGRATS on your Spotlight Dance – it’s always fun to have you play along each week!
Jambalaya Wanted Fake I.D. to Party Like Cowboyz – but Don’t You Worry Child, Take These Things To Heart remembering Ronan
I get what you’re saying about how we kind of help time fly. That’s one reason I’m trying to learn to practice mindfulness. Ha. I’ve got a post coming soon about that. LOL
by the way had to come back and say congrats on the spotlight dance how i missed it the first time not syre and hey no judging me i most likely hadn’t had coffee yet..lol
Congrats on the Spotlight this week.
All your choices are’new’ to me this time around.
I can honestly say, I am glad Fall is around the corner. I have non-friendly relationship with this heat. I need some coolness here. lol

You are so right! We are definitely in a big rush to get to the next holiday all the time. It’s so silly! Poor Thanksgiving…
Congrat on the spotlight!
And you are so right, everyone says “live in the moment”, but our human nature is to always look ahead to the Next Thing.
Love the Neon Trees song!! The other one is pretty good too, but he reminds me of that other guy….crap…brain fart – ugh, Calling Google…
….Adam Levine. whew. nice save
Haven’t heard either of these before but I like them, thanks for sharing! I like all types of music too, from classical to oldies to country and everything in between.
I agree, we look to the future too much, and I always try to stop and live in the moment. It’s been hard lately since I’m looking forward to November so much!!
Woot…nice music here. Love it, YOU GO GIRL!!!
Mine is here
Have you a TRULY BLESSED WEEK!!!
hugs
shakira
I agree with you that we as a society do the time rushing. We do not seem to understand rest and enjoying one’s journey.
I refuse to even look at the pumpkins in the store. bah. I will wait for October to think and do anything fall related.
Great post.
Love the music
Congrats on being featured Lucy!
