Holy Moly, we have made it to 25 years 
I keep telling myself we are too young but then I see our beautiful children all grown up,doing beautiful and it hits me. Yep, 25 years has passed. Somehow, someway we have muddled through. All I know is I am glad we keep fighting the good fight. The early days were the toughest, stress was high and tempers would flare easily but you would wink at me, oh, I love that special wink you give me or you make me laugh or you know just when to lay low or sometimes you would just choose to ‘let me have it’ (with words) when I needed to hear the tough truth or hold me when I needed a big old hug then we moved on better for going through it. Marriage, it is not easy but it is the absolute best thing in the world when you are in love with your best friend and the person is on the same page with you and the person has the same core values as you do. We may be opposites but deep down we believe in the same things and that is what holds us together. So, your laid back, go with the flow attitude balances my high strung get it done right now approach! But, make no mistake I know I can count on you to share in my strong beliefs in honesty,discipline and integrity! You and I, we don’t compromise on our values We have never tried to change each other!! That is when you lose the person you love.
I love you sweetheart! And I appreciate the way you spoil me too BUT it isn’t the things I love those are just cherries on top the treat I love and you know you are my treat

Congrats, my friend! I think opposites do attract. My DH & I are opposite personality wise, but like you and yours, we share the cherish the same interests and values – the cement (God being the mortar) that holds this relationship together. It’s so good you and your DH are well-suited! May you be blessed with many more wonderful years of togetherness! =D

Congrats on 25 yrs! Can’t wait to see the pictures from your week in St Lucia. You are right, marriage is tough, but it’s also so sweet when you get through stuff together. My husband reminded me of this. Yea, we’re stressed right now, but it’s those couples that stick through this “fire” that make it to 25 yrs (and more!). We want to be one of those couple. Congrats! You guys look happy!
