If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Ah, I am a United States citizen and sadly I know I could only live in the States! I have traveled abroad and I just do not do well when confronted with other languages AND such! Just me!! My little hang up!! Therefore, I just need to stick to home!! I would be the first to admit a villa in Tuscany or a lovely place in the South of France would be awesome but in the end, only to visit. See,to live, you know, day in and day out,I have to go with the Good old USA. I am lucky. I have found my dream place and currently live there about seven months out of the year; I am working very hard to get there permanently!!!
The above photo is a view I have daily. A regular drive to my home! Pretty spectacular!!
The above photo is where I would love to buy/build our home. Isn’t that a gorgeous view too?
In the photo above you see an assortment of Red Rocks! This is the view we saw, me and my husband, while sitting on Bell Rock (another Red Rock formation) on Halloween Day. We went for a short hike/stroll and enjoyed the scenery in which we live!!
Another view while sitting on Bellrock! Look at the blue sky! I love the Red Rocks against the deep blue sky! AND, no, I have not touched up the photos!!
Here I am on Bell Rock! Living my dream!! I am blessed beyond measure!!
If you ever have a chance then you should take a trip to Sedona,AZ! It will be well worth your time. It is beautiful, peaceful and gorgeous. Please note: do a little research. The link I provided is one of my favorite’s!! Sedona is nothing like Phoenix. Most people think it is hot year round and brown!! Sedona is higher in elevation and gets a tad bit more rain, now, I am from Ohio, so,it is all relative. Sedona gets roughly 24 inches of precipitation a year. If you are from Ohio that is a joke!! BUT, it is enough to make it greener. In addition, Sedona, is cooler than Phoenix by about 10 to 15 degrees, matter of fact, many of the residents from Phoenix come to Sedona on the weekends to cool down. I know, another thing to giggle about. But, 90 degrees is much better than 105,trust me! In addition, you can get caught in a freak snowstorm in Sedona. They melt quck and are beautiful but you need to know it is not warm year round, like Phoenix. Again, all is relative. It typically gets to 40′s and 50′s everyday but if you are looking for pool weather in January do not come to Sedona. I love it. January is full of sun and by March we are in the 60′s BUT, a snowstorm can swoop in from the mountains in Flagstaff!!
Last March we got hit with a storm!!
In the morning!
The afternoon! See it melting. The streets are clear and not one snow plow!!
By the next practically gone and totally gone by the third day!
Can you imagine? A snowstorm gone by the second day? No plows? No yucky, brown, muddy snow!! AND, it was the only snowstorm of the year!!!! THREE days!!! It was actually kind of pretty against the Red Rocks!!
Oh, and where I was sitting!!
Bell Rock! The Red Rocks are named for things they resemble!
Bell Rock is by far the most popular formation and visitors are always stopping to gawk at this wonderment.
For me, it never gets old. ANY OF IT!! I drive all around Sedona and soak in the beauty. I am blessed and I do mean blessed. My husband planned well. It was our dream. He still must work in Ohio. Therefore, we are not permanently in Sedona,YET, but he has planned it so I can spend a lot of time here and he travels back and forth. I do spend most of the summer in Ohio and December too. The end of year is busy for my husband! In addition,my parents and sister are in Ohio and I still want to spend Christmas with them! It is easy for my children to get to Ohio for Christmas!! Although, as soon as we unload all our property and buy in Sedona, well, we do eventually foresee Christmas in Sedona!! It is our dream place and our children our happily living in other places, not Ohio so they will have to travel no matter what or we will be traveling when they have little ones!!
Alright, are you making your dream place a reality or is it just a lovely place to dream about?

if I could live out my fantasy and live anywhere it would be on a secluded island where the weather was a beautiful 70 to 75, sunshine and all i need is within reach but as fantasy do not exist i guess that’s not happening nor my dream of living at Disney 24/7. so if i live in the real world I have to say i would live where I am and have money to travel where ever i like
I absolutely LOVE where you live. And I really AM coming there to visit you one of these days.
Also, I will always be a Jersey Girl. But I wouldn’t mind having a vacation home in Italy.
What beautiful views! When you say you only live here 7 months out of the year, I was surprised. Where else do you live? I like where I live right now. It’s not “dream” but I am just practical in that sense.
You present Sedona in a lovely way, it almost makes me want to visit for a little bit, it’s more diversified in climate than I’d realized. I’m glad you love it!
My dream place isn’t perfect, but someday soon I may start blogging from there.
