Happy New Year 2013 014

What did you do on New Year’s Eve?

Happy New Year 2013 003

She went out to dinner but was home early and enjoyed Midnight with us!!

They had to wake me up for the big RING IN at Midnight! I fell sound asleep and would have missed that stroke of Midnight if these two would not have been around.  Lucky me, I think??

How was your first day of 2013?

Happy New Year 2013 001

Mine was filled with family, clean up and good food!

Yes, she spent most of the day in that seat watching football but WE managed to get her to move a little and she loaded boxes of Christmas decorations into the attic!! Not with that smile on her face, I will tell you that :)

While they all enjoyed football I took Christmas decorations down and watched movies!! Oh, and we ALL picked on the leftovers from Christmas week.

Happy New Year 2013 002

Then, we had our traditional Good Luck New Year’s Day dinner!! Pork and Sauerkraut with mashed potatoes, salad and rolls!! It was delicious!! Yep, I am patting myself on the back and taking a bow but those of you who cook know it is a simple meal and not one that can easily be messed up lol.

Today, I toss all the food and we go back to eating ‘normal’ and healthy!!! Wonder how long that will last???

AND EVEN BETTER the countdown is on…….

Happy New Year 2013 003

Only a few more days of snow filled streets and gray days!! Soon I will be heading to beautiful scenery and sunshine!!! Oh, the sunshine, I can’t wait!!

Did you enjoy your Holiday?  Are you looking forward to the beginning of 2013? Any big plans?

Happy new year! I welcomed the new year in my favorite way: being asleep! We did the Christmas purge earlier in the week after getting home from visiting family and friends (1800 miles worth). I love to put it up and I love to take it down! Equally

I’m looking forward to returning to normal eating. It has been out of control. my son was at his gf’s house new year’s eve so we did our traditional cheese fondue on new year’s day – it was fantastic. Went for a long walk today and hopefully burned off a calorie or two.

my decorations are now officially tore down and stored for next Year!
I do believe that grants me one last piece of caramel cheesecake! ha
